Statistical distributions can be either discrete or continuous. A discrete distribution is a probability distribution that depicts the occurrence of discrete (individually countable) outcomes, such as 1, 2, 3... or zero vs. one. The Binomial distribution, for example, is a discrete distribution that evaluates the probability of a "yes" or "no" outcome occurring over a given number of trials, given the event's probability in each trial—such as flipping a coin one hundred times and having the outcome be "heads". Calculus is the mathematical study of continuous change. It has two major branches, differential calculus and integral calculus. Calculus, the branch of Mathematics was developed independently in the late 17th century by Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Today, Calculus has widespread uses in science, engineering, and economics. Study notes in English and Malayalam are prepared for reference based on the syllabus of Plus Two Statistics course. It is helpful for the beginners in Calculus.
